Will Apple Lose in the War of the Tablets

Dragon Siege Slots
It’s no secret that Apple offers the preferred platform as far as mobile casino games developers are concerned, it basically provides a better platform from which to build on. There is however the threat that its days of dominance could be over and although it is of course a silly thing to write Apple out of the picture wherever mobile technology is concerned, the sheer amount of cheaper tablets running on Android has to be taken into consideration. The pace at which the mobile market moves is quite frightening and we only have to look back just a few years to a time when Nokia dominated...how things have changed, and a few analysts are starting to feel that maybe the grip of the almighty Apple is loosening just a little.

Cheap Android tablets are now everywhere, and it looks difficult for Apple to sustain their market share when consumers are more than willing to try something a little different, especially when it comes at less than half the price. The market is already full of low end, low cost Android tablets and there will be more on the way soon too. There are a few great examples of how cheap Android tablets are starting to make waves, just take a look at the Asus Memo Pad HD 7, a very good tablet that is on the shelves for a fraction of the cost of an iPad, meaning that mobile slots and casino games are becoming more available, to a new and different market. The war of the operating systems will continue for some time, and that is a good thing for mobile games fans in that the longer it continues, the better the quality low end tablets will become. It will also mean more of a focus from games developers on the Android operating system, after all it’s no good focusing on an OS that’s declining in use.
